In the Minster Quarter at the very heart of York - the Music House Apartment is a deluxe two bedroom, split-level apartment available for weekly lets and short breaks. Taking up the entire top two floors of our Grade-2 listed building, above award-winning Café/Bistro 'Café Concerto', the Music House Apartment looks out over the beautiful historic York Minster.

The Music House Apartment has two queen-sized bedrooms, one bedroom with queen-sized bed, the second with queen-sized bed and single bed. There is a large open-plan living/dining room, and a fully equipped luxury kitchen and bathroom (with bath/shower). Lots of extras are provided for a special stay - Egyptian linen, duvets, bathrobes, towels, bathsheets & luxury toiletries, along with free Wi-Fi, telephone ( a private phone line and free local calls in the UK at all times). There are ipod docks, Hi-Fi with CDs, a DVD player and a large Flatscreen TV with Freeview. A music-themed background is maintained with dance prints on the walls and other 'quirky' pieces of art. One free parking permit can be reserved for a car park 5 mins walk away. The Apartment sleeps 2 - 5 guests (2 Queen-sized beds, 5', the second bedroom having an additional single bed) and one extra bed can be provided for an additional child at a nominal charge.

The kitchen has everything you need including a coffee machine, microwave, dishwasher, cooker, fridge, freezer, toaster and extensive utensils, china and glassware. If eating out is your idea of relaxation, then there are restaurants of every calibre and style on your doorstep or within a few minutes walk, including our own restaurant on the ground floor (bookings advised). We can even provide you with items from our restaurant menu to take up to your apartment.

Café Concerto offers a bistro-style evening menu using simple high-quality ingredients all prepared on the premises and is open 10 am - 10 pm daily.

The living/dining room on the second floor has 3 large sash windows opening directly in front of York Minster's West entrance where many impressive events take place. The oak dining table seats up to 6. Two double bedrooms look out onto the ancient rooftops and both have Queen-sized beds from the Original Iron Bedstead Company. Both rooms have Egyptian linen, duvets, cotton bed throws, digital radio clock alarms and ipod docks. One bedroom has an additional handwash basin and the other has an additional Flatscreen TV with Freeview.

York is a true 'walking city' (mostly pedestrianised and only a few minutes walk from one side of the city to the other). Food shops and delis, banks, theatres, boutiques, York's museums and almost every service you may think of are all within a few hundred yards. Local guides and maps are available, with board games for a quiet evening in - along with a welcome pack with a few essentials (coffee, teas, sugar, milk etc).

*Please note the apartment may not be ideally suited to small children and those with walking difficulties due to the number of stairs and high windows. It is not recommended for under 5's.
